R/GA Australia has announced the appointment of Claire Gillis Waring to the role of executive creative director. She will lead the agency’s multidisciplinary teams across Sydney and Melbourne to push for creative excellence across product and services and communications work. Gillis Waring joins R/GA Australia at a time when both the Sydney and Melbourne offices are experiencing significant growth due to its strong product and experience offerings. Most recently, R/GA Australia announced the Australian Professional Leagues win.

Prior to R/GA, Claire was executive creative director at Publicis Sapient, South East Asia, and has also held leadership roles at TBWA\Digital Arts Network, Havas, and Saatchi & Saatchi, building a reputation for driving creative cultures of innovation and collaboration.

“Claire has consistently created world-class work at the intersection of brand, experience, and technology,” said Michael Titshall, VP & managing director, R/GA Australia. “Her obsession with interactive behavior and passion for creating work that allows people to experience brands in new ways perfectly aligns to our ambitions,” he added.

Gillis Waring’s career of over 20 years has spanned Oceania, Europe and Asia during which she won a host of major industry awards, juries and speaking accolades – Cannes, Spikes, OneShow, Art Directors Club, Clio and Effies, among them.
