Nine’s The Voice claimed the most-watched entertainment show of Tuesday night, but as MasterChef enters its final stages it may be about to snare the title.

The Voice pulled 926,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers, while MasterChef was inches behind with 922,000.

That left Seven’s House Rules licking its wounds. It’s fallen under the 500K mark, only managing 455,000 last night.

Meanwhile, the ABC’s Miriam Margoyles Almost Australian has proven a hit for Aunty, it did 571,000.

Nine won the night with 29.7 per cent of all the eyeballs (all channels). Seven did 24.1 per cent, 10 had 20.3 per cent, the ABC managed 17.2 per cent and SBS drew 8.7 per cent.

Seven’s news (1.265 million) was the most watched show of the night. Nine’s news did 1.085 million and ACA had 762,000.

Over at the ABC, it’s 7pm news pulled 763,000 and 7.30 had 603,000. Foreign Correspondent did 497,000.

Other standouts for 10 were The Project (588,000), How To Stay Married (428,000) and 10 News First (379,000).

Seven also did well with The Chase (673,000) and Home And Away (633,000). Nine’s Hot Seat had 596,000.
